Whilst we would all prefer to have our dogs with us one hundred percent of the time, there are always going to be those circumstances where we need to go away without them. Having to go away and leave our dog provides much anxiety for us humans regarding boarding kennels and about how this is going to affect our beloved canine companions. If only they could stay in the comfort of a home with someone giving them their undivided attention, complete care and individual walks!

This is where Scamps and Champs come in! We offer a dog home boarding service where your dog goes on their own small holiday, to live with one of our experienced host families in the comfort of their lovely home. There are no kennels or cages unless you take your own crate as that is your dog’s usual routine. They will be part of family life and be provided with large amounts of company and attention.

Unlike some other organisations where you have no direct contact or choice where your pet will be staying, we encourage you to visit our approved host families, when considering the service so that you can see first-hand where your dog will stay and be cared for. You are in complete control over which host family you select for your beloved pet, as we understand it needs to feel right and you need to feel comfortable that the setting is right for your dog. Only once you are happy with your host family choice, will we proceed with planning your dog’s stay with you.

Our pet home boarding service allows your pets routine to be catered for along you’re your dog’s individual requirements; such as dietary needs, meal times, walks and dispensing of any medications. We will discuss your dog’s requirements, routine and personality with you at length and make a plan for your dog’s stay that you are happy with. Your dog will never be walked off the lead unless written consent is obtained from you, signifying that you are completely happy for this to take place and that your dog can demonstrate a solid recall.

We believe that as pet owners you will want to be the one to drop your dogs off at their home boarding holiday and greet them with a big cuddle at the end. All pet boarding homes are fully vetted, licensed by the local council and insured. Your dog will also be treated as one of the family with all the love and affection you desire for your beloved furry family member.
